Music to Life is a national nonprofit, founded in 2000 by Noel Paul Stookey (of the folk trio, Peter, Paul & Mary) and his daughter, Liz Stookey Sunde, that builds activism through music. Musicians as Mentors (M2) is a rural pilot of the Activist Musician Accelerator National Program. M2 is a coordinated professional development process that links a network of multi-genre musicians (screened for talent, experience and compassion) with the at-risk youth of our rural communities (ME/NH and VT). M2 is a ground-breaking collaboration between activist artists, social service organizations and community organizations to expand programming opportunities for rural at-risk youth.
